Siesta Key Florida

While best known for its white sand beaches and blue waters, Siesta Key Florida has more to offer to its residents than just beaches. Thanks to its location, Siesta Key offers beautiful year-round weather as well as easy access to many of Florida’s most popular attractions.

Given its location on the Gulf of Mexico, it goes without saying that Siesta Key has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In fact, “Dr. Beach” recently listed the island’s Siesta Beach as the number one beach in the country. Crescent Beach, which is located on the north end of the key, has also been listed among the top beaches in the world. The south end’s Turtle Beach, on the other hand, provides residents with the opportunity for wildlife viewing as hundreds of turtles create their nests in the summer months.

In addition to its beaches, Siesta Key is also connected to Sarasota by two bridges. As such, residents can easily enjoy the numerous galleries, museums and other attractions available in the downtown Sarasota area. Similarly, St. Armands Circle and its many boutiques, shops and restaurants is also located near to this 8-mile long island. The island itself also features many shops and restaurants, with “The Village” on the north end being a popular place for those who are looking for dining, shopping and other fun places to explore.

For those who are interested in making Siesta Key their home, there are many housing options available. The north end of the key is home to the largest single-family neighborhood on the island, while condos can be found on both the north and south side. Those who are interested in living in a smaller neighborhood, on the other hand, may prefer purchasing a home on the south end of the key.
